Final Four 2022 NFL Mock

As we wait for the next football weekend to determine the Super Bowl teams I took another shot at what the first round might look like in April. Granted to really predict anything you should wait until at least until all head coaching and general managers spots are filled which is not even close at this moment. Regardless, here is the latest shot at what might happen in the spring.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars Evan Neal OT, Alabama…They need to make the offensive line and the protecting of their franchise quarterback a major priority and adding Neal will add years to Trevor’s career.    Previous Mock:  Hutchinson
  1. Detroit Lions Aidan Hutchinson EDGE, MichiganDan Canmpell would go nuts to bring a home state hero like Hutchinson to become the face of the defense.   Slam dunk of a pick.   Previous Mock:  Thibodeaux
  1. Houston Texans Kayvon Thibodeaux EDGE, Oregon….The Texans are in the market for a head coach again and still need to decide on DeShaun but as Caserio learned in New England can never have enough defensive talent and adding a top notch pass rusher is an easy choice.   Previous Mock:  Stingley Jr.
  1. New York Jets George Karlaftis EDGE, Purdue    As they look to build a defense that will replicate what Coach Saleh had in San Francisco grabbing a pass rusher first makes a ton of sense especially as they chase the 3 teams in their division.    Previous Mock:   Hamilton
  1. New York Giants Ikem Ekwonu OT, NC State…The NY Giants had possibly the worst offensive line in the league with only one player likely to return.   Ekwonu is a young talented plug in player:     Previous Mock:  Neal.
  1. Carolina Panthers Charles Cross OT, Mississippi State….Too early and risky to grab a QB so the next best thing is to grab a offensive tackle to block for whomever is under center.  Cross is a day one starter.    Previous Mock:   Ekwonu
  1. New York Giants: David Ojabo EDGE, Michigan….With the latest reports that the Giants are more likely to bring in a legit vet as competition against Jones over drafting someone the pick changes from Pickett to adding more pressure to opposing QB with the untapped potential of Ojabo.
  1. Atlanta Falcons Jordan Davis IDL, Georgia….Former Bulldog who can start day one and get the Atlants fans excited…at least about the defense.  Davis is a huge man who will draw double and triple coverage.
  1. Denver Broncos Andrew Booth Jr. CB, Clemson…I know they took Surtain last year but Denver has four corners that are free agents this off-season and getting Booth to team with Surtain will allow financial resources to be spent elsewhere.   Denver may be the future home of a QB from Green Bay.   Previous Mock: Karlaftis
  1. New York Jets Kyle Hamilton S, Notre Dame….If Kyle is sitting still available the Jets should take seconds to get their card in.    Amazing addition to the secondary.   Previous Mock:  Booth Jr.
